[Gate In] As he stood in the root town of Delta Server, Mac Anu, this new player, Hiro, was in awe at what he saw. "Th-This is so realistic!" he exclaimed as he looked around. This was his first time ever playing the game 'The World' and he's was glad that he was able to get that side job to pay for it. "Okay, let's see... According to the map, I'm in the root town Mac Anu. That means, I can only buy and sell things at shops or player run shops... Right?" he asked himself aloud as he opened the map, then closed it again to stare at the warp gate. "What's that...?" he questioned aloud again as he stared at the Warp Gate in question.

[Log In - Welcome to The World]
With a yawn, the blue and green twin blade logged into The World for the first time today. She had been up late writing, and so she ended up sleeping in and missing breakfast. Thus, after eating lunch, she had decided to log in and wake herself up with a bit of gaming. Natsume's seemingly shut eyes looked around at the familiar zone known as Mac Anu, eager to figure out what she'd do first today.
But when she looked around, she saw a player looking at the Chaos Gate, almost gaping at it. It must have been a new player to The World, since not many would just stare at the gate. They might've been someone who was AFK, but they seemed to be there. Natsume wasn't quite sure what this person was, but she knew one way to find out.
"Hello there! How're you?" she waved towards the new player, making sure that he knew she was talking to him and not one of the numerous other players that regularly warped in and out of Mac Anu. It was a pretty busy place, especially after the release of The World R:4 grabbing a large amount of new players.

Jumping a bit, Hiro looked over at the girl who was greeting him. "Oh, I'm okay... I'm new to the game, and I have no real idea what I'm doing..." Hiro said, hanging his head a little, before looking up at her again. "My name's Hiro, I'm a Twin Blade, and this is my first time playing!" he greeted back, smiling a bit and holding out a hand in greeting.
It took him a minute to figure out what else to say to her, but after he retraced his steps in what he remembered his friends telling him about The World, he knew the first thing he needed to do was learn what to do as a Twin Blade. "Er, I'm sorry to ask you this, having just met and all, but do you happen to know any Twin Blades that could help me learn the best ways to use my skills and stuff? Or for that matter, where to get good starting items...?" he asked, somewhat nervously.

Natsume maintained her smile as she listened and shook Hiro's hand. So she was right; he was a new player. Well, this may have provided her with something to do. After all, it never hurt to help out a new player, right? Besides, it could prove to be quite a fun adventure. She was always up for a new adventure, and new friends helped too. Forming a social network in The World would certainly make things much more interesting for her.
"Ah! Natsume is a Twin Blade too, so I can help you learn the game. Don't worry, it's not a problem at all! I'm always willing to help out a fellow player of The World!" she replied as she heard his needs, finding it to be a funny coincidence that the two were both twin blades. That made things much easier, since Natsume didn't really know much about the other classes beyond the basics. She had always been a Twin Blade player, and always would be.

Hearing that the girl was also a Twin Blade, Hiro's eye's lit up. "You'll help me!? Thank you so much!" he exclaimed, smiling happily. "So, Natsume is it? What are these floating rings right here?" he asked, turning to the Warp Gate again and pointing. He had no idea what they were.
Before she could even answer, he had another question and was too eager to wait for her to ask it. "Oh, and how do I open my inventory exactly?" he asked, a puzzled look on his face. He wanted to see if he had anything in it or not.

Natsume let out a giggle in response to the boy's reaction. It was funny, adorable, and a bit nostalgic to see him react like that. She had been like that too when she first began, and though most of her talent she gained from soloing, she always enjoyed working with other people. It was meant to help her improve socially as well as mentally, so she had to work on both, and joining parties with people and exploring did both in one fell swoop.
"Ah, you hit the triangle button to open your inventory. It's on the controller. And for the rings behind me...that's the Chaos Gate. You use it to go to fields, where you fight monsters and explore dungeons and stuff. It's also how where you show up when you come back to town or log in," Natsume explained, a bit of pride in her for being so knowledgeable for this new player. She had to show him the ropes. After all, she said she would, and she couldn't go back on her word!

After hearing her responses, Hiro pushed the triangle button, bringing up his inventory. He saw that he already had some items and nearly screamed for joy to see that. "Oh my god, I have items already! Yes!" he hollered happily, jumping up as he closed it.
"Wow, thanks for teaching me that... I feel kinda silly that I didn't read the book that came with the game before starting, so yeah. Oh, and that's a Chaos Gate then? Okay, well now I need to know. How to I summon my weapons, and how do I fight, so do you think we should go to a field and you could teach me?" he asked, feeling hopeful that she would say yes so he could get on the right track to leveling up and beginning his journey to being really good at this game.

"Of course! I said I'd help after all. Here is Natsume's member address," Natsume answered, sending her member address to Hiro so he could invite her to his party. It'd be better for him to run the party than her, since she was higher level and she was just helping him out.
"Oh, what I just sent you was my Member Address. It's a special email specifically used in The World to contact other players. You can use that to invite me to join you in a party, so we're working together when we go out into the field. Just hit triangle again and you should be able to find the party menu so you can add me," she continued explaining, readying herself to try and explain combat to him. She knew how to fight herself, but she was never really the teacher type, so she couldn't explain it off the top of her head.
"Go ahead and invite me into your party, then you can go to the Chaos Gate and pick key words for a field for us to go to. Just make sure to pick some that make a field on your level."

Blinking as he heard a ping, and then again heard her explain what a member address was, he wrote it down and then proceeded to add her to a party. "Okay, I think I did that right... Now, keywords? I'm not really sure what you mean..." he said, stepping up to the Chaos Gate and looking at it.
"Do you have any suggestions for a good field to start out in?" he asked, looking away from the Chaos Gate and back at Natsume. He had so many things he wanted to learn, but he also wanted to level up as fast as possible. He didn't mention this though because he didn't want to seem pushy or anything.

When Hiro questioned her about good keywords, Natsume thought for a moment on it. She hadn't been to a lower level field in a while, so she had to think back on what keywords she used back then to make a good low level field. She could just go in and input keywords herself to the Gate, but that'd defeat the purpose of trying to show him the ropes of how to play the game. He had to learn to put in the keywords himself. So, having thought back to her time playing as a level 1, Natsume finally came up with a set of Keywords for him.
"Alright! To go to a field, you'd approach the Chaos Gate and when prompted, it'll ask if you want to switch servers or go to a field. You pick field, then it'll ask you for three keywords, which are what you use to specify which field you want to go to. Normally, you'd just sort through words until you make a field you like, but for this time, we'll be going to 'Buzzing Bustling Pure Bred'. Pure Bred is technically the third keyword even though it's two words grammatically," she explained, having to mentally review to herself all the controls for combat. It had become a bit of second nature to her, so she didn't actually think about it much these days, and so it made teaching others all the more difficult. Still, if she could do this, she'd accomplish something new and make a new friend!

Hiro nodded and listened to her explanation as to how to use the Chaos Gate, and a good suggestion for a field to go to. "Okay, so... 'Buzzing Bustling Pure Bred'?" he questioned for a moment, before turning back to the Chaos Gate and walking forward a bit. Just as she said, when he got a little closer, he was prompted to change servers or enter a field. As much as he wanted to see what all this change server stuff was about, it would defeat the purpose of his learning to fight, and potentially gaining a level or two. "Okay, she said enter the keywords in field, so... Here goes," he thought to himself as he entered the keywords. "Buzzing Bustling Pure Bred," he said aloud to the Chaos Gate as he entered the words. With a rush of what could only be described as lights and colors, Hiro vanished from the root town 'Mac Anu' and appeared in the field of 'Buzzing Bustling Pure Bred' [Gate Out]

{GATE IN} Serpentarius glanced around, bored enough as he was, he didn't have the time to actually be playing any games other than this. He thought it'd be a good chance to kill some time and learn about this game and its rules, so as to familiarize himself with the game.

She wasn’t sick or coming down with something. It was a common thing that came when a crowd was building around her; who would have thought her side affect to her fear of crowds would stretch as far as online game crowds. Muttering a few words of irritation Envy looked around to see the number of people in the Root Town increase dramatically, crowd after crowd of players emerging from the chaos gate.
“I’m not feeling all too well, so I’ll be heading off for the moment.” Envy said, shifting her eyes downs for a moment. In that second she clicked on the menu buttons and sent her member address to the two players she was talking to. “Here’s my member address, hit me up if you want to talk or train kay?” she finished before moving the cursor to the gate out button on the screen. “See ya’ around kiddies.”

Technically, there really wasn't much more for Natsume to say. She'd know if he put in the right keywords if they warped to the correct zone, and so long as he didn't have any questions mid-process, she'd keep quiet to avoid breaking his concentration. The golden rings forming around her told her he entered them correctly, and her smile grew a bit as their party of two warped out of Mac Anu, and off to the fields where the monsters and treasure were in abundance.

So, this is what the World looks like. It feels real, almost. I managed to make a pretty cool looking character too, so let’s see how this goes.

Amatsu thought to himself as he looked around the Gate room. A few people were there, but no one too terribly interesting. Then again, people in this “World” weren’t as easily read. People could be entirely different in this world. That’d be something Amatsu would have to remind himself of constantly. Not all was as it seemed. He could think of little else to do other than just stand around and see what would happen. [/div] [atrb=width,100] words ,
