This is pretty much to have all the rules about these in one place, so you don't need to hunt down a bunch of different threads for different things.[/b]. Unofficial Quests are quests run by a member, who is also a participant in the quest itself, so that other members can be in a quest. Please note, the EXP and Rewards from Unofficial Quests will not be as great as Official Quests.
General Rules
Quest Rules
• You can NOT do an Unofficial Quest by yourself, it has to be with a party (2-3 members) and one of them will be the Unofficial GameMaster. As an unofficial GM, you need to calculate things fairly. Don't kill someone off because you do not like them, do not make the monsters not hit your character. Nothing of the sort. For an Unofficial Quest, EXP granted by combat will be determined using the official system, and will be officially distributed at the end of a quest.
• If during an Unofficial Quest, you reach enough EXP from your starting amount to reach the next level, you may treat your character as their next level, and the EXP will be officially added to the account once the quest is over by an official GM. Keep track of your combat EXP during the quest in your posts, so that you may receive the proper amount and there is documentation that you did indeed reach the correct amount to level.
• At the end of a quest, PM an Official GM to look over and read it. You do not determine what EXP you earn (not the combat exp, the quest completion exp). The GM will do this for you. Meaning, you kill a level 1 monster and you think you get 500 exp. The GM will determine how much exp the party members get based on how well they fight and cooperate, and how much the unofficial GM gets based on how well they lead.
• NOTE: Quests DO NOT need to be super-long epic adventures into the depths of hell itself. A quest can be something as simple as 'Kill some Monsters in a field' or 'get the treasure from the Gott Statue'. In fact, simple quests should make up the majority, so that GMs don't get bogged down trying to run a large number of big quests.[/ul]
