[Just to make sure you all know, this will be handled with LS Style combat. Each of you must post once per round, but there is no post order beyond that, so just make sure you post between my posts. If anyone dies or is kicked from the event, a spot will open for a new member to take their place. Dying will not void your reward, but being kicked will. So make sure you post.] The admin's words about the field being threatened with destruction were actually quite accurate. Upon gating in, all six players would find that the field was suffering from a major case of 'wrecked'. The ground was breaking beneath their feet, and it had been reduced to platforms and pillars of land that they'd have to jump between in order to move. It wasn't so bad that they wouldn't be able to move at all, or put a bunch of effort into jumping, but it seemed to steadily worsen as time passed. The skies were clouded gray with a hint of yellow, but no sunlight passed through to the world. It was a bleak and horrid area, where only death prevailed.
However, in this world there was one thing that moved. It would be inaccurate to say 'living', because the thing in question was a machine. It was a machine in the form of a beast, a winged monster that resembled a dragon to some extent. A glowing orange core sat in the center of it's chest, with four glowing orange rods extending from it's back. It's head lacked eyes, but this seemed to impair it none, as it easily noticed the six who had entered the field and let out a terrifying roar. It's metallic tail slammed into a outcropping of rock near it, smashing it and causing it to crumble. This mechanized monster, that prevailed in the dead man's wonderland, was the Jabberwock.
Each of the player's would notice that their avatars had been modified to an extent, matching some sort of character out of 'Alice In Wonderland'.
Shiel would notice that, well....he got put into a woman's outfit. He had donned a knee-length red skirt with a lining of hearts along it's hem, a button up red blouse that had a propped up, heart-shaped collar and long sleeves with white lacing on the ends, with a pair of red gloves that had a heart cut out on the back. To top it off, he had red stockings and a pair of red pumps with heart shaped buckles on them. If it wasn't obvious, he had been granted the role of the Queen of Hearts.
On the flip side, Better would find herself in a male's attire, a red knight's to be specific. Crimson-tinted plate mail covered her forarms in the shape of gauntlets, her legs int he form of greaves, a breast plate, and plates covering the hips. Each piece of armor had a heart engraved in it, and underneath she had crimson-tinted chain mail along with a red, silk suit beneath to keep the armor from scraping the skin. Obviously this had no actual effect on her abilities as a Wave Master, but it seemed Better had been given the role of the Jack of Hearts.
Sana would find herself dressed in a red suit with a white undershirt, a pair of pure white rabbit ears extending from her head, though these were purely an accessory. In her coat pocket sat a golden pocket watch, attached to a thin gold chain that kept it secured to her jacket at all times. She would have a red, heart-patterned tie on and on each of her cheeks was a tattoo of a heart. In the back of the suit, right on her rear, she now had a small rabbit's tail. It was more than clear that Sana was given the role of the White Rabbit.
Orchid, strangely enough, would be fully clothed this time. In fact, she had obtained a techni-color dream coat, along with matching pants and a top hat. From the top hat extended a card which read 'In this style 10/6', and if she so wished to check inside, she'd find a tea cup sitting inside the hat for her own personal use. She had a bow-tie to go with it, which was polka-dotted and in just as many colors as the rest of her ensemble. Orchid, funny enough, was assigned the role of the Mad Hatter.
Atoli, in a bit of irony, would find herself in a little red coat, white undershirt, and a blue bowtie. Her hat was gone, and in its place she had two brown rabbit ears, with one of them folded downwards while the other pointed up. She had a red skirt to go with the jacket, though it was more or less a mini-skirt, and a pair of brown shoes to go with it. From the back of her skirt she also had a small brown rabbit tail. She had been slotted into the role of the March Hare And finally, Fili the White, received what was probably the most fitting out of the six. She had two small mouse ears sprouting from her head, and a thin little tail coming out of her dress. Oddly enough, the rest of her costume remained unchanged, except for the white shifting to a tint of red. Fili the White had received the role of Dormouse. [Gate In] As Fili the White gated into the field, she almost flinched at the sheer destruction it had endured. Was this really all done by some monster? Obviously it was technically done by CC Corp when they designed it, but thinking about it from the game's perspective, one being had done all this to an entire land. It was frightening to think about, and it was only made worse when she saw the actual thing doing it. She hadn't even noticed yet her shift in attire, nor the ears or tail that had been added to her avatar. She would probably notice though once the others arrived, but for now, she was more focused on the hue thing that was apparently the Jabberwock. "I'll need to do my best...or this monster will kill all of us..." she muttered to herself as a sort of 'self encouragement' speech to get her motivated to do the role she did best: Support.[/blockquote] | FILI THE WHITE Stats: 11 Class: Wave Master HP: 215/215 SP: 120/120 Status: Fine |

Weather, apocalypse. Ground, destroyed. Sun, shining. Monster, enormous. Survival, unlikely. Outfit, badass.
"Guns up, let's do this. It's time to nut up or shut up."
Armor shinning in the light of the burning field, Better stepped forward, liberating her staff from her inventory.
"Alright, you oversized reference, listen up! See this?" She indicated her staff. "This... is my BOOMSTICK!"
Just then, the Jabberwock would face a thunder-spell twofer, with lightning surrounding it in a tornado and striking from the sky simultaneously. Damn, it felt good to be Queen. Or Jack, in this case.

The first thing to greet Psyche upon arriving was the mass destruction to the field, the second a rampaging large dragon like creature he assumed was the Jabberwock(y). His eyes widened and a mad smile donned the pale face of his avatar; yes, this was better than he thought! That thing was huge and the idea of engaging in combat with it made his blood boil from the thrill despite the knowledge he would likely be one of the lowest level members of the party.
Well, he was in no direct danger, at least not if they had a good front-hacker to occupy the bastard while he and eventual other wave masters/archers/whatnot stood behind and cast as if their lives depended on it, which funnily enough they did, their virtual lives anyway, and that was the life that to Psyche actually mattered. Not like reality had Jabberwocks and level ups and magic, ugh, what a boring world they lived in.
After a few seconds a third observation hit him; he weren’t the first to arrive, thank goodness for that, but what was that donning her head? Oh, costumes! Immediately after he started to study his own avatar, giggling strangely when he found he had ears and a tail himself. “The crystal Lollipop candy land, The singing smiley lovely Pumpkin monsters~” He chimed, the avatar voice raspy strangely deep considering his generally feminine avatar. “Yo first and second comer~ I‘m Psyche”
Then, moving his hands he followed the second Wave Master up with a spell of his own.

?GATE IN!
After gating in, he felt something weird and suddenly had a higher line of sight. Well, this was interesting... Something he had not experienced before again. He suddenly was dressed in a dress and looked at a field that was... yeah, no other word for it. Wasted. But really, these shoes were killing him. How did women even walk on these? Kicking them off while pulling out his bow, he looked around and saw some other people beside him. One of them he knew. Fili. But only women, huh?
What a fate to be put into a dress in such an occasion, he sighed and heard the warcry of that other person. "Yeah, no breaking the fourth wall without a party." He breathed out and after taking his stance, he shot a single arrow at the large creature. It was so big that slowing it down should do quite something. "Name´s Shiel btw, archer is my trade."

[ gate in :: ] Hopefully this was the right field. Atoli had made a commitment to helping a field be saved from a terrible monster; it would be awful if she ended up in the wrong place! When the golden rings descended and left her free to move, her hopes seemed to come true. All around her was destruction. Even though it was only a game, and a simple click of a few buttons from CC Corp could fix it all, it still felt a little personal. Atoli gripped her staff and glanced over to the others, who had already begun fighting. She took a few slow, and almost hesitant, steps toward her comrades. Just what had she been changed into? The March Hare? It was a good thing she liked Alice in Wonderland, even if her character didn't seem to fit the March Hare... "I'll try to help as best as I can!" Atoli shouted to the others, before she lifted her staff in the air. "BiZan Rom!" she shouted, aiming her spell at the lumbering Jabberwock. BiZan Rom (Lv.2 M: R: Wind: Tornado: SP: 20)

◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ DADDY WAS A SAILOR, AND HE GAVE ME A BLACK HEART. ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ [ gate. i n . ]
there was a saying. something dealing with the best: "always save the best for last". with that thought in mind, orchid didn't care that she was the last to arrive in the area; in fact, if she had been first, the beast they were facing probably would have smashed her to pieces before she had a chance to act.
being naturally a highly observant character, the first thing the scarlet-haired vixen did was examine the area around her, and the players she was working with. before she could notice anything important, however, she was distracted.. by her clothing. she had predicted that they would be put in costume, but she didn't expect to turn into a sea of rainbows. and her prized body was now completely covered; damned game, they knew what they were doing when they did that. they just couldn't handle the sight of her. disgusting administration, probably unable to function at their desks, being aroused by orchid's fabulous body. yeah. she was sticking with that.
anyway, once she had gotten over that, her vibrant, saturated oculi became fixated on the scene before her: tons of magical spells, shoved at the beast seemingly from every direction, along with a similar attack from a bow and arrow.. but, there were no melee attackers. this was the full party, too; no one else was showing up. orchid had to attack this beast on her own?!
"augh," she hissed, eyes narrowing. she wasn't going to do that. she refused to charge into battle only to do little damage before being tossed aside. instead, she added to the onslaught of magical attacks: "vak don!" she declared, dramatically waving her staff towards the jabberwock. as the fireball sailed downward onto the creature, she placed herself on the defensive. she was ready to avoid attacks coming at her, rather than her trying to deal large amounts of damage. she was also further back than most of the other characters.

With the two Rai Rom spells fired at it first by Better, the core in the Jabberwock's chest shifted colors. It shifted from the neutral orange color into a golden yellow, and as the thunder spells struck, they hit for 0 damage each. The Zan Rom cast by Sana would be met with a bit more success, dealing 12 damage. This was then followed by an arrow shot by Shiel, which exploded on impact with the beast, dealing a total of 89 damage, as well as afflicting the beast with a SPD Down effect for a bit. Following suit was Atoli's BiZan Rom, hitting with much more success than Sana's Zan Rom, a whopping 94 damage being dealt to it in a single hit. Lastly, the fireballs from Orchid's Vak Don struck it's metallic hide for a mere 8 damage.
The Jabberwock was not a fan of this assault. The liquid contents of the tubes on its back began bubbling, the two on the left shifting into a colorless state while the two on the right shifted into a golden yellow like the core. With a vicious roar, bolts of lightning shot out from it's mouth, striking at Better, Sana, Shiel, Atoli, and Orchid, dealing 88, 95, 67, 45, and 103 damage respectively if they didn't react. The wounds inflicted on the beast would also begin mending, the scars and tears in it's metal husk sealing themselves up as it cast a healing spell on itself, restoring 300 health, negating all the damage that the group had previously inflicted.
It was obvious that such a monster wouldn't be killed so easily.
Jabberwock's Actions: Lightning Attack - Healed 300 HP (20 SP) Having been the only one unassaulted, Fili had time to watch the others and see what happened. As soon as the second member appeared and immediately attacked, the beast's core shifted in color, and then the spells did nothing. The rest of the spells struck without issue, but the core had changed from orange to gold. That had to mean something, since it also cancelled the first spells into nothing. This didn't mean it's magic defense was that high, because even the level 1 Wave Master was able to inflict a little bit of damage onto it. What the significance of the core was, Fili still wasn't entirely sure. She'd begin to get an idea though, when the Jabberwock retaliated. It shot lightning at each of the others in the party, but not herself, and it had also healed itself. The latter would make the fight more difficult, but the former had her curious. It was a machine, so being a thunder element creature wouldn't be too out of place, but it seemed odd for something based on Alice in Wonderland to shoot lightning. Then again, this whole situation was odd, but Fili had been playing The World long enough to think there was more to this creature. "Rue Kruz..." Fili muttered as she decided to try something, icicles forming in the air above her and firing at the beast. ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ DADDY WAS A SAILOR, AND HE GAVE ME A BLACK HEART. ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ ◆ ◇ orchid was immediately discouraged after the first two attacks struck the creature, and did zero damage. composed as she is, she did manage to notice that the color of the orb inside of the beast changed just before the attack; but, that didn't mean much to her. that probably just meant it was in battle mode, or something. another wave master attacked, and did more damage than the first -- but, this second wave master was of a lower level than the one before it. that was kind of odd, to orchid -- but those thoughts left her mind just as quickly, due to the attacks that came from the higher leveled members of the team. they dealt tons of damage to the jabberwock; as long as they both stayed alive, this party might actually have had a serious chance at winning this fight!
after she sent her own pitiful attack at the creature, orchid cringed at the jabberwock's anger. she watched two tubes on its right change to the same color of the orb in its chest, while the other two became colorless -- she didn't know what that meant, though, and didn't have time to contemplate as it began attacking. because of her distance from her attacker, her readiness for dodging attacks, and because she seemed to be the last one to be attacked, orchid was able to prepare herself for the beast's lightning bolt. that is, she attempted to dive out of the way as it came towards her.
if she actually managed to dodge it (the speed down status may have also helped her), she would have found herself on a lone pillar, struggling before lifting herself up on top of it. with a heaving sigh, she exasperatedly hissed: "augh! i won't even bother attacking this thing," her eyebrows furrowed out of annoyance. calming herself, she drew her eyes back to the beast, remembering things she had noticed during that phase of attacking. she had been seeing a lot of lightning bolts, flying among the area, from that first wave master, and from the jabberwock -- perhaps the beast was of a lightning element, then? "hmm." she began to ponder the situation. she was in a seated position on her knees, both legs at an angle, rather than being beneath her (so they kind of created a 'v' shape if one were to look from a bird's eye point of view). she had hoped that the beast only attacked when it was attacked, seeing as the one person who wasn't attacked was the one who hadn't attacked it at all.
she looked at the orb again, and how its color was a golden yellow. she thought about the lightning a bit more.. "oh, wait! duh! this is a pretty obvious, basic boss strategy!" she mentally slapped herself for not realizing it sooner -- though, she realized that she probably couldn't be completely sure just yet. but that didn't mean she couldn't verbalize her thoughts.
.. then again, though, she didn't want to be feeding everyone false information. she would wait, and watch, just for a bit longer. she pushed herself back up to her feet, and remained on the defensive. she would not attack this thing because she knew that it just meant she would be killed immediately.

Woo, this thing was quite a harsh player unfriendly little thingy... not only had all things hit, but some had hit well. Okay, the first two had done nothing at all, not even scratched it, but at least his attack had worked then and slowed the thing down. All other attacks had ripped it apart for quite some damage most likely. Well, until it had blasted life into itself, healed and then shot out a stream of lightning. But seeing that his attack had worked before, he wouldn´t let up so fast and what was more, knowing now that mostly spells would be used, he could contribute quite well.
And so he loaded his next arrow again with a skill. This would leave him with little magic reserves, but it would help defeat the thing. "Dek Vorma BANG." He put emphasis on the bang as it sounded more awesome and called out to the others: "I´m gonna weaken it to magic, blast it." Grinning he thought about what to do about that wave of stuff coming at him though, being an archer, he was used fighting mostly against stuff that couldn´t get him. His favorite were minotaurs cause they only had axes and so he could put as many arrows into them as he wanted, but this things reach was devastating most likely.
Nothing to do, he decided to conserve the rest of his sp for now and take the hit... it wouldn´t be too bad now would it? And following up, he attached another attack to his already shot skill arrow. Let´s get some damage in. At least he was not having any thoughts about elements as he fought without elements anyway.

The assault of attacks had all hit home, but Psyche was left with the bitter taste of realization when they didn’t seem to do much damage at all, moreover… the fucker could heal! “Fucking hell, in which way is this low-level friendly?” one attack and he’d be dead on the spot, knowing this he felt awkwardly fragile in this battle. Well, of course, he was a level 1, but, it was unfair really! At least if he somehow managed to stay alive he’d gain a lot of experience from this.
All he could do was dodging and cast, dodge and cast and hope the gigantic beast eventually died. At least three of the members were level 10 or over, they had a certain change, right? He’d keep to his tactic of staying alive and leave it to a higher level someone to kill this thing off. So when the fucker attacked he attempted to dodge, running backwards at all the speed he could manage to get out of the things reach, or at least out of the way of the attack. “fuckfuckfuck”.

Atoli watched for a moment as each of the party's spells hit... though some did nothing. It was puzzling to her, though she felt honored that her first spell had done some damage. Outwardly, she smiled ever so slightly. She didn't want to show too much joy in the midst of battle... Whatever joy she felt immediately vanished after the beast healed itself, however. Atoli just stared, completely dumbfounded. She watched the beast closely, and did notice the shifting of it's colors, but she wasn't sure what had happened just yet. She was more upset with the fact that the big meanie healed itself. It had even begun to shoot lightning at them! Atoli squeaked and jumped back, and around, and wherever she could to avoid them. Just how could they defeat this thing if she wasn't a good help... She was the highest level, and she had mostly support spells... Atoli frowned and stopped for a moment to regain her breath and composure. "I've got to try harder..." The wavemaster thought hard for a moment about what spells she should cast. Without any true lead, it was a real shot in the dark. She lifted her staff into the air as light illuminated from the tip. "BiZas Rom!" Atoli called out, though it wasn't confident or even very loud. Dodgin' | BiZas Rom (Lv.2 M: R: Light: Tornado: SP: 20)

"Oh come ON!"
In hindsight she should have expected something like this. At least it revealed more of its attack pattern. It could shift its elemental affinity, apparently, which was far from convenient for Better, who had crammed her skill list with almost purely thunder spells. Its attacks could shift elements at will? Or did it have to do with the color of its core?
All the could do was wait and see if a pattern emerged for now.
Jumping out of the attack's way, Better ramped up her SP regen.

[Everyone, for the sake of convenience of everybody, list your LS Actions at the bottom of your post. It makes it easier to tell exactly what you did. If you have been doing this, good, continue doing so. If not, please incorporate this into your posts from now on]
The Rue Kruz fired by Fili the White would make contact with the Jabberwock first, but it's core shifted to a deep blue just before impact, the spell ending up doing 0 damage. The next attack to strike would be from Shiel, with yet another arrow, the explosion upon contact dealing 82 damage and inflicting it with a MAG. DEF DOWN affliction. The third attack for the round would come from Atoli, the tornado of light striking for even more damage than the first one, dealing 123 damage thanks to its lowered magic protection. The Jabberwock would then let out a roar, the liquids in its tanks on the back shifting colors once more, two turning deep blue and the other two remaining clear. Spears of ice formed as it launched them at Fili, Shiel, and Atoli, dealing 52 damage, 68, and 44 damage respectively. It would then let out a second roar, as an aura of red would temporarily cover the party, each of them having their Magical Defense lowered, much like it had a moment ago. Jabberwock's Actions: Water Attack - Magical Defense Debuff (30 SP) Fili watched the core shift in colors, knowing now that her guess about it was correct. It responded to elements it was hit with with the same element, and made itself invulnerable to the first element thrown at it. They just had to work with that now, but hopefully she wouldn't be the only one to figure this out. The others would have to notice that, right? If not, they'd have a lot more problems on their hands. But first and foremost, she'd have to deal with this debuff the beast had inflicted on them, not moving to block the icicle that flew towards her and taking the damage. She needed to cast these spells. "HuaRip Synk....Rig Gaem..." she muttered, casting a spell over the whole party to remove their status affliction, and then improving the SP Regeneration of the Archer, Shiel. He had been doing a lot so far, and he also had the smallest SP supply out of the higher leveled players in the party, so he would need more SP so he could maintain his powerful offense. orchid nodded to herself, her mind racing with ideas -- she knew what to do. about this boss battle, that is. she couldn't really handle it herself, due to her level.. so she would instead need to tell everyone else what to do. order them, even. like pawns. chess pieces. she was an empress, after all.
"everyone, this thing's battle plan is pretty basic! in case you haven't noticed it yet, i will explain," she began, attempting to call everyone to her attention. just for the moment. it didn't seem like the monster would attack anyone who hadn't attack it anyway, so she personally was not worried about being attacked. "it seems like when you attack it with an element, the color in its belly changes; meaning that it changes to block that element. then it strikes back with the same element. so you should definitely try attacking it with one element, then attacking with the element exactly the opposite of that. for.. maximum damage. okay?" she nodded. with that said, she would move back to the defensive. she didn't want the jabberwock to catch her off guard, or anything.
