The field is an expansive forest, the canopy hiding most of the sky and only small beams of light breaking through. Pretty much the whole field is like this, with a basic set of paths outlined by the thickness of the trees, keeping people from going off the beaten path. As the golden rings signaled the arrival of the Adept Rogue, he couldn't really help but examine the area. He had to admit, this was much more different than he had anticipated. So far, it had been wide open fields with dungeons galore. Here? Not so much. Ah well, he doubted it would really be that much of a problem for him. This field was a forest, so he figured that it would be of the wood element, thankfully, he had the counter element for such a thing, so he figured that he would be able to get through this with enough skill. Nevertheless, it was time for a solo run. At least until Aralyn got back on. Taking a few steps forward, he was ready to face this area, approaching the ever familiar portals.

As Nightmare began adventuring into the forest, he'd approach the portal containing monsters within, and sure enough, two forms appeared as the portal faded away. They were...some strange plant creature, with a face. The face in question had an expression that Nightmare would most certainly recognize as being similar to the 'awesome face' that had been circulating on the net lately. The creatures bodies' looked like some strange hybrid of an onion and a mushroom, with legs.
BATTLE MODE ON
With those words and the blue barriers coming into place, the two plants both charged at Nightmare and attempted to bite him with their giant gaping mouths.

As the first two beasts appeared, he could only assume that someone working for CC Corp had a sense of humor, as they resembled the awesome faces. Though really, there weren't problems. At least he hoped there weren't. It did however, turn out that he was indeed correct in his assumption of the area. This was a wood area, which meant that wind would be the element needed to hold an advantage. Thankfully, Nightmare had the element of Wind on his side. And what luck, it was in the form of a spell, too! He didn't need to risk his hide to deal what he felt could be some very serious damage. As the two plans moved towards him, he jumped back as the first one attacked it, effectively dodging its strike and moving out of range. Due to moving one range back, it also took him out of range of the second attack, meaning that unless they had something long range, then he would be unscathed this round. With that out of the way, he took this as a chance to try and wipe them out in one go. He had them grouped together. He pointed but one finger at them. "Zan Rom." He commanded, as the tornado of wind sprouted up beneath the two beasts, hoping to destroy them. Dodged out of range to avoid both. | Cast Zan Rom (10 SP) on Both Targets

The tornado spawned by Nightmare's Zan Rom would sweep both of the Onion Mashes off of their feet, literally. It lifted them into the air, their little legs flailing about beneath them, before dropping them onto the ground for 198 damage each, the words ELEMENTAL HIT appearing as he struck their weakpoint for massive damage.
The two Monsters got up and one of them charged at Nightmare for another attempt to bite him, while the second began shaking the mushroom attached to it's head. Spores began falling as it took in a huge breath and blew them towards Nightmare, using it's Wrath of Fungi spell to attack. The bite would deal 33 damage if it connected, while the spell would hit for 67 damage should it hit without issue.

They were changing things up a bit. Right, this was nothing he couldn't handle. Frankly, even as they were moving, he was already coming up with a plan. And within mere moments, he had one that hopefully, would allow him to escape harm, or at the very least, reduce the amount of damage taken from this encounter, though it would cost some SP. As the creatures made their moves, he again dived back to avoid being bitten, and being blasted by the spores. Unfortunately, they had separated, so now he was going to have to pick them off one by one. This was going to be hell on his SP. He pointed at the one in the back. "Zan Rom." He commanded, as the tornado of wind sprouted up beneath the the one in the back. If his calculations were correct, the one in the back would be destroyed, but the front would attempt to activate its spell. The poor Onion Mash who tried to hit from range would be picked up by another tornado and dropped again, hit for 187 damage and his body turning gray as it faded away. The remaining Onion Mash would follow in the footsteps of its friend, shaking it's mushroom head as it used Wrath of Fungi to try and hit Nightmare, dealing 70 damage, before charging in at him and following in the wake of its spores.

And his calculations were correct. The beast sent out a spore of fungi at him. And to top it off, even threw itself at Nightmare. The Adept Rogue grinned, he couldn't have dreamed of a better situation for this. Barring some rather bad luck, this fight was going to end right here, right now. He made no motion to dodge the spores coming at him, instead he raised his sword as he guarded against the spell. It wouldn't reduce it to zero, but he knew he'd take much less damage, and if this went well, that was all he'd take. With that out of the way, he didn't even have to move, thanks to the thing coming at him. Rather, he just gave it a smarmy look, one that had fallen into a trap. He hated having to take damage, but sometimes it was necessary for things like this to work out. WIth the creature in range, Nightmare grasped Silversnake, and simply slashed at it twice, hoping that the combined damage would be enough to destroy it. The Wrath of Fungi would connect, but only deal a mere 31 damage due to Nightmare's blocking. His retaliation strikes would hit for 36 and 40 damage, hitting for exactly enough to reduce the Onion Mash to 0 HP, the plant's body fading into nothing much like it's companion. The blue walls faded as the words BATTLE MODE OFF showed up on the display.
Nightmare Darklight obtained 120 EXP and 100 Gold!

"Just enough. Thank you God." He muttered. He really didn't want to have to put up with even more damage than he had to take. Thankfully, that wasn't the case, as the beasts fell without further issue, and he was left to collect the EXP and the spoils of the battle. WOrked just fine for him. He continued onward, not healing himself just yet. He wanted his SP to completely refill before he got to that point. So for now, he would just place his dark armored hands behind his head and carry on, not really worrying about this field. He did have the advantage after all, and to him, that meant that victory was all but assured, so long as he continued to be intelligent about his actions and not run in all willy nilly. So he chose to continue on forward. After all, he could come back and take the left path later.

Picking Forward, Nightmare continued on, eventually coming to another clearing where he would find three semi-mummified figures. They each had one huge eye, oversized clawed gauntlets on each arm, and a massive amount of blue hair coming out of the back of their head. All three immediately turned to face the newly entered player, and as expected, the blue walls appeared with the familiar text BATTLE MODE ON showing up once more.
The forward two would move forward, running up to Nightmare and each trying to slash at him, for 65 and 63 damage, but the third remained further back and out of reach. It was actually casting a spell, and Nightmare would feel its effects immediately as his physical strength was lowered by a Dek Corv. It was already evident that these were more of a threat than the plants that had come along not that long ago.
